The Agilent E5805A USB/4-port RS232 Interface provides a direct connection from the USB port on your notebook or desktop PC to up to four RS-232 instruments or devices. There are no switches to set, no PC cards to install, and no external power supplies required. Simply install the software and plug in the E5805A USB/4-port RS-232 interface to add 4 RS-232 ports to your computer. Getting connected has never been easier.
The E5805A ships with software that makes the 4 RS-232 ports appear as additional local (Windows COM) ports on your computer. The industry-standard VISA IO Libraries are also included to enable instrumentation-style commands for RS-232 control.
Since the E5805A is a standard Plug and Play device, it is detected and configured when connected to the computer USB port. You can interface up to four devices, offering baud rates up to 230Kbps per RS-232 port. The E5805A provides four DB-9 serial connectors and ships with a 1 meter USB cable to connect the E5805A to your computer. |
