Did you know?
- Random voltage noise on the output of your DC power supply can have
a negative effect on the measurements made on your device under test?
That’s why Agilent specifies ripple and noise in both Vrms and
Vp-p so you know what to expect.
- When using your DC power supply to apply constant voltage to your
DUT, accurate current read-back specifications are important to determine
the exact current drawn by the DUT. That’s why Agilent specifies
the current read-back capability.
- Fast output voltage changes, including the time it takes to process
a command and the time it takes the output to slew to the new level,
have a significant positive impact on throughput and reducing test
times. That’s why Agilent specifies these parameters and includes
models with very fast output changes.
- It is important for your DC power supply to have built-in protection
features such as over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature to
avoid damaging your DUT or the power supply itself. That’s why
Agilent power supplies include output protection.
- DC power supply can be designed to have the outputs connected in
series to increase the voltage and in parallel to increase the current.
That’s why many Agilent power supplies are designed to do just
that.
- Remote sensing compensates for voltage drop across the cabling by
regulating the desired voltage right at your load instead of at the
power supply output terminals. That’s why many Agilent power
supplies include remote sense input terminals.
