Affordable, portable precision
The 1908 multimeter incorporates a USB interface for remote control and readback, while the 1908P incorporates USB, RS232, GPIB and LXI compliant LAN interfaces making it suitable for a wider range of system applications. Both models can operate from either AC-line power or internal batteries. Only the USB interface is available in battery operation.
Internal rechargeable batteries for “use anywhere” versatility
The 1908 and 1908P bench multimeters can operate without AC power whenever required. The batteries are charged from the internal power supply and can give more than 35 hours of operation. This enables the meter to be used in locations where no AC line power is available, or moved around multiple room locations without the nuisance of having to find a power socket. When precision measurements are needed, handheld portable multimeters may not be up to the task. The 1908 and 1908P not only offers fully portable precision, but also built-in data logging for remote locations.
Dual display and dual measurement system
The 1908 has both a main display and a secondary display that:

Graphical Interface for PC
Both the 1908 and 1908P are supplied with a Windows™ based application called 1908-PC Link that provides a graphical user interface (GUI) for remote control of the meter from a PC. Connection can be via USB with the 1908, additionally with RS-232, or LAN (Ethernet) with the 1908P. A logger function enables both measurements to be recorded at set time intervals and displayed in both graphical and tabular views. The logged data can be exported to a CSV file.
Software supplied with 1908 and 1908P: IVI Windows™ Driver, CVI and LabVIEW instrument drivers (full installation) and USB Driver.
