Overview

The Keysight 83018A microwave system amplifier is a compact, ready‑to‑use unit built for system designers and integrators. It delivers the extra power needed to overcome system losses and increase available output in RF and microwave ATE setups. Its extremely wide operating range, from 2 to 26.5 GHz, lets engineers replace multiple narrowband amplifiers with a single device, removing the need for crossover networks or several bias supplies.

The standard 83018A also incorporates internal directional detectors to support external leveling. Thanks to its strong gain and low noise figure relative to its broad bandwidth, it can markedly enhance overall system noise performance and dynamic range.

The amplifier includes a low‑profile heat sink, built‑in mounting bracket, and a two‑meter DC power cable (83006-60004). This bias cable can be used to interface with a power supply provided by the user. Its thermal design and power‑supply configuration make it straightforward to integrate into most measurement systems.
