Megger Easyloc RX Standard Receiver FAQ
Can the Easyloc Rx receiver locate buried utilities without a transmitter?
The Easyloc offers both passive modes (RADIO and POWER GRID) for locating energized or signal-carrying lines without a transmitter, as well as active TRANSMITTER and PROBE modes when used with a compatible transmitter or sonde. How does the receiver indicate the strongest signal location?
The receiver provides both audible signal feedback and a visual signal-strength bar graph with a peak-hold marker that remains visible for several seconds, helping users locate the point of maximum signal strength. Can the Easyloc Rx receiver measure the depth of buried cables and pipes?
Yes. The standard Easyloc can perform automatic depth measurements when operating in TRANSMITTER or PROBE mode with a clear continuous transmitter signal. It can also provide a rough depth estimate in RADIO and POWER GRID modes.
