SWS1000L-48 Overview
The TDK-Lambda SWS1000L-48 is a high-performance AC-DC power converter designed for demanding industrial and medical applications. It delivers a regulated 48V DC output with a maximum output power of 1056W and can handle peak loads up to 1200W. The unit supports a wide input voltage range of 85–265V AC or 120–350V DC.
This converter features high efficiency (86%), forced-air cooling, and robust thermal performance, operating reliably in ambient temperatures from -20C to +74C (with derating). It offers adjustable output voltage (from 38.4V to 56V), remote sensing, remote on/off control, and power factor correction (PFC), enhancing system flexibility and energy efficiency.
Physically, the SWS1000L-48 is housed in a compact enclosed chassis measuring 240mm x 150mm x 61mm and weighs approximately 2.3 kg (5.1 lbs). It is chassis-mountable, making it easy to integrate into various equipment enclosures.
SWS600/1000L Series
The SWS-L series of AC-D C power supplies comprises of two models with output voltages from 3.3V to 60V. Rated at WJW and 1,000W, the SWS600L is certified to IEC 62368-1 and IEC 61010-1 with the SWS1000L certified to IEC 62368-1 and IEC 60601-1-(medical). These products meet both class B radiated and conduction EMI standards and can operate with derating in up to 74C ambient temperatures. Features include a 12V 0.1 A auxiliary voltage , remote on/off, an output-low/fan-fail signal and have been tested to the MI L-STD-810-F shock and vibration standard. Up to five units can be connected in parallel for additional power. The 3.3V, 15V, 48 and 60V outputs can be remotely programmed over a wide range using an external voltage. In addition, the 24V and 48V outputs have the capability to support peak loads.
