The Metcal MFR-1300 is a powerful, two channel desoldering system. Containing an internal pump, the MFR-1300 does not require an external source of compressed air, making it a cost effective solution with a small footprint. And with 0.7 bar (21" Hg) of vacuum suction, it handles through-hole desoldering quickly and easily.
Each system includes a desoldering pistol with a large capacity, easy to change solder collection chamber to ensure minimum downtime. The pistol can also be easily converted to a pencil grip for additional control. Metcal offers a wide range of desoldering tips for nearly any application, available in many shapes, sizes and temperature ranges.
The MFR-1300 uses Metcal's SmartHeat technology. SmartHeat establishes and retains heater idle temperature by virtue of Curie effect inside the heater core. This phenomenon occurs at the atomic level and consequently, idle temperature cannot shift over time nor can it be altered by the operator. Accordingly, the system requires absolutely no calibration.
