TestEquity Announces 20th Year Manufacturing High-Quality Environmental Test Chambers

MOORPARK, Calif., April 16, 2019 -- TestEquity, the single trusted source for high-quality test solutions and electronic production supplies, today announced the 20th anniversary of the company's high-quality environmental test chambers.

The announcement solidifies TestEquity as North America's leading provider of premium test chambers for the aerospace, defense, automotive, communications, education, and semiconductor industries. A full line of benchtop and freestanding chambers are designed and manufactured onsite at the company's California headquarters and are used by companies that range from General Electric, General Motors and Google to NASA.

Making the 20th-anniversary milestone even more noteworthy is the news that the first TestEquity chamber sold in 1999 is still in use at Technetics, a North Carolina-based producer of engineered industrial products used by general manufacturing industries worldwide. "We use the original 1007C TestEquity chamber first manufactured 20 years ago to this day," said Steve Henning, design engineer at Technetics. "Accurately and reliably testing our components, which are used in everything from nuclear reactors to spacecraft, at extremely high and low temperatures and replicating conditions like those in space are absolutely essential. TestEquity chambers reliably meet our requirements within often tight budgets, because ultimately cost and functionality drive all that we do."

TestEquity chambers are recognized for their high quality, the industry's longest warranty on parts and service, and locally based expert service network. Serving as a solution partner, TestEquity offers flexible options to purchase or rent chambers to meet varying short- and long-term needs and budgets.

"Our evolution from a test solution provider to include chamber manufacturing was a natural outgrowth of serving the needs of customers who couldn't find what they needed at a price and quality that made sense," said Dan Copsey, President, and CEO at TestEquity. "Because we manufacture completely onsite at our headquarters, we have total control over design and fabrication, which enables us to maximize quality and efficiency, which all brings more value to our customers."

TestEquity Introduces New Compact Temperature/Humidity Chamber

Benchtop and Floor Standing Versions, Completely Self-Contained

MOORPARK, Calif.Nov 13, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — TestEquity, a premier value-added distributor of electronic test equipment solutions and eMRO tools and supplies, today announced that a new compact temperature/humidity chamber has been added to its growing line of environmental test chambers, designed and manufactured at the company's California headquarters.

"This new chamber allows engineers to perform humidity tests right at their bench instead of going to an environmental test lab or tying up a larger chamber,” said Peter Kesselman, Vice President of Product Development at TestEquity. "Since it is completely self-contained and does not require an external water source or drain, it can be used anywhere without the need for facility changes."

The benchtop version of the Model 101H Temperature/Humidity Chamber fits easily on a test bench while the floor-standing version requires minimal floor space. It is designed for a wide range of device characterization and tests, including mobile phones and tablets, passive and active components, and small PC boards.

The Model 101H has a 1.1 Cu Ft interior workspace and is powered by a standard 120V, 15A outlet. It can simulate humidity from 10% to 95% within the range of 10°C to 85°C, limited by a 6°C dew point. Lower dew point conditions can be achieved with GN2 Purge or Dry Air Purge options. It has a temperature range of -18°C to 130°C in temperature-only mode.

A built-in water reservoir and recirculation/filter system eliminates the need for plumbing or drain lines, making this a truly plug-and-play chamber.

Humidity is generated by a patent-pending Mass-Transfer Vapor Generator. This provides better humidity stability throughout the entire operating range compared to steam generators and is accomplished without an exposed water bath.

With the F4T Touch-Screen Controller, the new chamber is exceptionally easy and intuitive to use. Ethernet and RS-232 communications are standard. A USB host port lets users transfer data log files, profile configuration files, and controller configuration files via a flash drive. GPIB is available as an option.

Additional features include a viewing window with exterior LED lighting and 3" access ports on the left and right side. The Model 101H-B benchtop version is convertible to a 101H-F floor-standing version by the simple addition of a caster base which bolts to the chamber.

TestEquity makes the purchase of an environmental chamber easy by including the most frequently requested options in a standard unit for one price, with fast delivery from stock. All standard models are available for sale, rental or lease.

MOORPARK, Calif.Mar 10, 2015 — TestEquity, a value-added provider of premium test and measurement equipment and services since 1971, today announced that the company will be exhibiting at the SATELLITE 2015 Conference and Exhibition, where it will showcase a wide range of test equipment solutions designed to eliminate satellite RF interference issues. The premier event for the global satellite end-user community, SATELLITE 2015 will take place March 16-19 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

In booth 9110, TestEquity will display RF spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters and sensors, and mixed domain oscilloscopes from key manufacturers including Keysight Technologies, Rohde & Schwarz, Tektronix, and JDSU. In addition, visitors to the company's booth will witness live demonstrations of a number of industry-leading products, including the:

  • Keysight N9000A CXA Analyzer — The N9000A CXA analyzer is a versatile, low-cost tool for essential signal characterization. The device can measure and monitor interference in the L, C, X, and Ku satellite bands from a teleport or remote location. With its low phase noise, the N9000A CXA is an excellent analyzer to test and measure low-noise block downconverters (LNB), and it can demodulate analog and digital video signals.
  • Keysight N9918A FieldFox RF Combination Analyzer — The handheld 26.5-GHz N9918A's base function is a cable and antenna analyzer. The versatile unit can also be configured to include a spectrum and network analyzer, vector voltmeter, power sensor, and built-in power meter.
  • Keysight U2000 Series USB Power Sensor — U2000 series power sensors measure true average power from RF and microwave devices while making setup fast and simple by providing plug-and-play USB connectivity and eliminating the need for a separate power meter.
  • Keysight MSOX4154A Mixed Signal Oscilloscope — The InfiniiVision MSOX4154A boasts 1.5-GHz bandwidth and delivers best-in-class waveform update rates, while the latest in capacitive touch screen technology dramatically speeds setup and operation for unprecedented usability. The device features a 5-GSa/s sample rate and 4 Mpts of memory, while Keysight's InfiniiScan Zone touch triggering drives a 12.1-inch display, the industry's largest.
  • Rohde & Schwarz FSH8 Handheld Spectrum Analyzer — Designed for use in the field, the rugged FSH8 is a handheld spectrum analyzer, power meter, cable and antenna tester, and two-port vector network analyzer, all in one indispensable tool for RF service technicians and installation and maintenance teams.
  • Tektronix RSA306 USB Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer — The highly-portable RSA306 uses a PC and Tektronix SignalVu-PC™ RF Signal Analysis Software to provide real-time spectrum analysis, streaming capture, and deep signal analysis capabilities for signals from 9 kHz to 6.2 GHz. The unit separates signal acquisition from measurement to dramatically lower the cost of instrument hardware. Data analysis, storage, and replay can be performed on a PC, tablet, or laptop.
  • Tektronix TSG4100A Vector Signal Generator — The TSG4100A is a vector signal generator (VSG) at the affordable price of a basic signal generator. The new RF signal generator complements other leading mid-range RF test solutions from Tektronix, such as the USB-based RSA306 spectrum analyzer, as well as the MDO4000B and MDO3000 mixed domain oscilloscopes. The TSG4100A is the first vector RF signal generator from a tier-one vendor with a price point of less than $15,000.
  • Tektronix MDO4104B-6 Mixed Domain Oscilloscope — The MDO4104B-6 is an oscilloscope integrated with a built-in spectrum analyzer, and it allows users to capture time-correlated analog, digital, and RF signals for a complete system view of their device. With up to 3 GHz capture bandwidth, users can see how the RF spectrum changes over time.
  • JDSU MTS-5800 T-Berd Handheld Network Tester — The MTS-5800 T-Berd is the industry's smallest 10G handheld instrument, and it supports testing throughout the entire service life cycle. The device supports both legacy and emerging technologies required to handle various network applications, including metro/core, mobile backhaul, and business services installations.
  • JDSU P5000i Fiber Microscope — The P5000i makes it fast and easy to certify with the push of a button that every connection in a network is clear and optimized. The intelligent fiber microscope removes the guesswork from fiber inspection, providing reliable and objective PASS/FAIL analysis of the fibers and delivering the results to an existing JDSU test platform.

On Tuesday, March 17, visitors to TestEquity's booth can also sign up for a chance to win a 7-inch Amazon HD Kindle Fire, which will be given away in a drawing held at 5:15 p.m. that day.
