The Novagard Solutions G697 conforms to MIL-DTL-21567B (formerly MIL-C-21567C).
Versilube G697 is from the family of general-purpose silicone greases thickened with inorganic fillers for lubrication and insulation, which are resistant to oxidation and thermal degradation. G697 can be used as a lubricant on unpainted ferrous metal surfaces (threaded or unthreaded) to help prevent corrosion, and maintain the condition of the substrate. Novagard also recommended it as a lubricant for rubber components such as O-rings and gaskets that have low to medium swelling characteristics.
