The PCE-WV A is a wind direction meter designed for fixed installation to measure the wind direction in industrial environments, wind warning systems, building services, and building automation. To connect the Wind Direction Meter to an evaluation, a 65-foot (20m) cable is installed on the wind direction sensor. The meter can be connected to data loggers, process control systems, or displays. It requires a 12-30 VDC supply voltage. A 4 – 20 mA signal is available as an output signal. The Wind Direction Meter has no dead center in the north and measures the wind direction from 0 to 360 degrees.
The PCE-WV A features robust PA plastic housing. It has a rating of IP65 for protection from external weather influences. The meter is designed to last for a long lifetime.
Applications:
- Irrigation control
- Automation in greenhouses
- Solar trackers
- Cable cars
- Cranes
- Wind Turbines
- Weather stations
- Any application where the wind direction must be observed precisely
