Megger DLRO10 Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter
The Megger DLRO10 Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter is a portable, high-accuracy micro-ohmmeter designed for fast and reliable low resistance testing in electrical maintenance, manufacturing, utility, transportation, and industrial environments. Delivering test currents up to 10 A DC, the DLRO10 measures resistance from 0.1 μΩ to 2 kΩ (on one of seven ranges) using a true four-terminal Kelvin measurement method for highly accurate results. Automatic current reversal eliminates the effects of standing voltages and thermal EMFs, while its lightweight, rugged design makes it ideal for both field and laboratory use. The DLRO10 also provides multiple test modes to support resistance testing of switches, busbars, transformer windings, bonding connections, welds, and other critical low-resistance applications.

Megger DLRO10 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between the Megger DLRO10 and DLRO10X?
The DLRO10 provides fully automatic low resistance measurements with a bright LED display and multiple test modes. The DLRO10X includes additional features such as manual test current selection, onboard memory for up to 700 test results, pass/fail limits, alphanumeric test notes, a color display, and RS232 data download capabilities.
Can the Megger DLRO10 test transformer and motor windings?
Yes. The DLRO10 is commonly used for measuring low resistance values in transformer windings, motor windings, busbars, and other inductive components. Its dedicated Inductive Mode is specifically designed to obtain stable measurements on inductive loads while safely managing discharge currents.
How can I minimize the effects of standing EMFs when making low-resistance measurements across connections between dissimilar metals?
This problem can be overcome relatively easily by making a measurement, then reversing the polarity of the test leads and making a second measurement. The required resistance value is the arithmetic average of the measurements. Some instruments, such as those in the Megger DLRO10 range of digital low resistance ohmmeters, feature automatic current reversal so that the correct result is displayed without operator intervention, even if there is a standing EMF on the circuit under test.
