Keysight B2961C Low Noise Power Source - 1 Channel
The Keysight 1 channel B2961C 6.5 Digit Low Noise Power Source is a bench-top power supply that provides groundbreaking capabilities and previously unavailable functions. It stands out through unique features such as bipolar current sourcing and sinking, programmable output resistance, and an integrated time-domain waveform viewer accessible via its graphical user interface (GUI). It pairs ideally with instruments such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, digital multimeters, and nano-voltmeters.
Applications for the B2961C include high-precision analog IC and circuitry testing, medical device applications, solar cell evaluation and interface circuitry, research and educational environments, advanced materials testing, and battery management systems, among others.
Additionally, the B2961C supports remote control through Keysight's PC-based PathWave BenchVue software, PW9251A PathWave IV Curve Software, or any LXI-compatible web browser. These capabilities streamline the incorporation of measurement data and graphical outputs into reports and presentations.

Wide Bipolar Range
The B2961C features extensive bipolar (four-quadrant) voltage and current ranges, making it well-suited to address both current and future testing requirements. Additionally, its capability to handle extremely small as well as large voltage and current signals enables the B2961C to potentially replace multiple other bench-top instruments. As illustrated, you can smoothly program any voltage or current level within its wide output range without encountering zero-crossing glitches.
Fast Settling Time Increases Test Efficiency
Unlike typical power supplies or sources, the B2961C rapidly settles to its final output value while maintaining a full 6.5-digit resolution across its entire output range. This capability shortens test durations and enhances measurement efficiency, particularly during consecutive testing scenarios.
Quick Check and Debug of Output Waveforms
Alongside numeric monitoring, the B2961C Power Source provides a built-in capability to view waveforms in the time domain. Unlike most power supplies and sources that require additional external instruments to visualize applied waveforms, the B2961C directly displays these waveforms on its LCD screen using Graph View mode. This feature allows you to easily confirm that the correct signals are being delivered to your device under test (DUT).
Increase Your Test and Evaluation Flexibility
- Pre-defined waveform generation capability provides six waveforms: sinusoidal, exponential, ramp, triangle, square and trapezoidal
- Set user-defined arbitrary waveforms with up to 100 000 points of setting
- Generate both precision voltage and current waveforms in 1 MHz –10 kHz frequency range

Integrated Voltage and Current Monitoring Capability
The B2961C includes integrated voltage and current monitoring capabilities, allowing verification of actual output values. It displays sourced voltage and current readings with a numeric resolution of 4.5 digits, available in both single and dual viewing modes. Given its minimum measurement resolution of 10 µV for voltage and 1 pA for current, an external digital multimeter (DMM) is typically not required for verifying measurements.
B2900C Series Power Supply/Source
You can choose between 1-channel (B2961C) and 2-channel (B2962C) models, allowing you to select the exact amount of bench-top power source performance to meet your testing needs.
