Siglent SHA860-CAT Cable and Antenna Test Option
For use with SHA860 Series Spectrum Analyzers.
Distance to Fault (DTF): Locate cable faults and impedance mismatches with precise distance measurements.
Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR): Identify fault types and discontinuities across cable runs.
Comprehensive S-Parameter Testing: Measure Return Loss, VSWR, Cable Loss, and Insertion Loss with configurable sweep settings.
Flexible Calibration Options: Includes Open, Short, Response, and Full 1-Port (OSL) calibration for enhanced accuracy.
Graphical Results: Display results in Log Mag, Lin Mag, VSWR, Impedance, and other intuitive formats.
Enhancing the Siglent SHA860A Series Handheld Signal Analyzer with the SHA860-CAT license equips it with robust Cable and Antenna Test (CAT) functionality, making it suitable for verifying the performance and reliability of RF transmission lines in both field and laboratory environments. This upgrade streamlines maintenance tasks by enabling rapid measurements of key parameters such as single-port cable loss, return loss, insertion loss, VSWR, and distance to fault—critical for diagnosing issues that can degrade base station performance, such as component failures that lead to signal loss and coverage gaps. Additionally, with an optional enhancement, the analyzer can operate as a 1-Path 2-Port vector network analyzer, supporting S11 and S21 measurements, Smith chart visualization, and offering a high dynamic range of 114 dB for precise amplitude and phase response analysis.
