FieldFox is highly regarded as the most adaptable handheld analyzer available. The new optional built-in pulse generator enhances its functionality, enabling both signal analysis and generation. Integrating a pulse/signal generator into a handheld analyzer is particularly beneficial. It allows air traffic agencies to perform radar field tests without needing extra equipment, ensuring radar receivers can accurately detect pulse signals. It also aids in simulating automotive radar signals to verify receiver performance efficiently. Additionally, a technician can use FieldFox with the pulse generator in a mobile EMI chamber to measure RF leakage effectively.

The generated carrier signal can reach up to 54 GHz, depending on the FieldFox model. It offers a wide range of customizable pulse sequences, including FM chirp, and continuous wave (CW) signals with or without amplitude modulation (AM), frequency modulation (FM), FSK, and BPSK.
