The N5244B PNA‑X network analyzer, part of the PNA-X series, is a highly adaptable microwave measurement platform built to characterize active components such as amplifiers, mixers, and frequency converters. It integrates dual internal signal sources, a signal combiner, S‑parameter and noise receivers, pulse modulators, generators, switches, and RF access ports. With these capabilities combined, you can perform an extensive range of linear and nonlinear tests using just one set of connections to your device under test.
- Simplify your test system and replace an entire rack of equipment with a single instrument
- Get frequency coverage from 900 Hz to 43.5 GHz, a dynamic range of 124 dB, and harmonics at -60 dBc
- Reduces test time due to the extensive array of single-connection measurement applications available
- Ensure accurate linear and nonlinear device characterization using advanced error correction techniques to implement fast, accurate, and user-friendly advanced RF testing
About Option 422
Option 422 includes a combiner, mechanical switches, and more access loops. The internal second source provides an additional signal (fixed or swept) for two-tone intermodulation testing of amplifiers, or for use as a local oscillator for testing mixers and frequency converters. The mechanical switches switch the combiner in and out as needed, as well as enabling the additional access loops for advanced configurations. The second source drives ports 3 and 4 and is also available from port 1 when combined with source 1, or via rear-panel access loops. The maximum power rating on the test port couplers is +43 dBm (additional attenuators or isolators are typically required to protect other components inside the instrument). Option 422 is not available on the N5247B. To independently control the frequency of the second internal source, one of the following software applications is required: S93080/029/070x/082/083/084/86/087/089/090x/093/094B or S94510/511B.
