Foam Wipes are made from fully reticulated (open cell) polyurethane foam. The 443 Foam SmartWipes are white in color, and can be Clean Room packaged. Foam wipes are absorbent to solvents and solutions, as well as many forms of contaminants. Foam wipes are the only true non-abrasive, lint free wipes. The exceptionally low particle generation makes them ideal for Clean Room applications. The open cell structure of the wipe not only traps dirt and soils including thick film inks, grease, pastes, and epoxies, but the high “sponge-like properties” make them an excellent solvent applicator.
