RxP-Blade/Quad Solder Tip Cartridges are the rework tips for the Metcal MFR-series soldering systems. The second letter in the part number designates the temperature series. RFP-Cartridges are nominally 390 ˚C. Metcal recommends the RFP temperature series for most applications. However, there is a higher temperature range designated RCP, nominally 450 ˚C, for high temperature and thermally demanding applications. Can be used with leaded and lead-free solder. The Metcal SmartHeat®-Technology“ will adjust the power levels during soldering to suit the application.
