The MX-500DS includes both the MX-DS1 Desoldering Handpiece and MX-RM3E Soldering Handpiece, enabling seamless transitions between rework tasks. Its dual switchable output ports (non-simultaneous operation) improve efficiency by allowing quick tool changes without interrupting workflow.

The system also supports user-adjustable Power Save mode (10–120 minutes) to extend tip life and optimize energy usage, while an AC ground monitor enhances safety by automatically shutting down the unit if a fault is detected.
