STDC Desolder Tip Cartridges are the standard desoldering tip range for the Metcal MX-500, MX-5200, and MX-5200 Series desoldering systems. STDC Cartridges are available in three (3) temperature ranges: 600-Series (357 ˚C), 700-Series (413 ˚C), and 800-Series (510 ˚C).
The temperature/series is designated by the first digit following the dash in the part number. e.g. 600-Series will be STDC-0xx, 700-Series will be STDC -1xx/7xx, and 800-Series will be STDC -8xx. Metcal recommends the 700-Series for the majority of applications. The 800-Series for high temperature and thermally demanding applications. Can be used with leaded and lead-free solder.
