This ESD jacket is designed to ground both the garment and the wearer through a ground cord connected at the hip pocket snap. This setup enables hands-free movement, eliminating the need to tether one hand as required when using a wrist strap connected to a ground cord. The lightweight fabric makes this style one of our most popular garments. The fabric has a surface resistivity of 1×10⁵ ohms, and the sleeve-to-sleeve resistance is guaranteed to stay below 3.5×10⁷ ohms for up to 100 washes or 2 years.
The ESD grid-knit cuffs form a contact patch around both of the wearer's wrists. The garment and wearer are then both grounded by attaching a ground cord to the 4mm stainless steel snaps on either hip pocket. (Ground cord sold separately.)
