This ESD jacket is designed to ground the wearer through the garment using an ESD knit cuff and a ground cord connected at the hip pocket snap. This setup allows for hands-free movement without the need to tether one hand, as is required when using a wrist strap connected to a ground cord. The lightweight fabric makes this style one of our most popular garments. It meets the ANSI/ESD STM 2.1-2013, Category 3 standard and is guaranteed for up to 100 washes or 2 years.
All Tech Wear garments meet the federal standard for FR (flammability retarding) requirements for polyester fabrics, except sleepwear. The glass transition rate (i.e. melting temperature) is 450 degrees F and the flash point (combusting temperature) is 720 degrees F.
