These two‑part, translucent, thixotropic silicone systems offer high tear strength and are designed for a wide range of bonding and encapsulation applications. MED1‑4013 and MED3‑4013 cure at room temperature, while all three grades cure rapidly when heat is applied using an oven, heat gun, or lamp. Many bonding applications achieve suitable adhesion without the need for a silicone primer. The systems are tin‑free, do not require atmospheric moisture to cure, and produce no curing byproducts such as acetic acid or methyl alcohol. Their consistency allows them to be supplied in easy‑to‑use, airless side‑by‑side kits that eliminate mixing and deairing difficulties. MED1‑4013 has a work time of approximately 15 minutes, MED2‑4013 offers a minimum work time of 15 hours, and MED3‑4013 provides a minimum work time of 60 minutes, with MED1‑4013 and MED3‑4013 achieving full cure in less than 24 hours at room temperature.
