Black, flexible, RTV silicone sealant with excellent motor-oil resistance
Pasty, 1-part, silicone adhesive sealant, which cures at room temperature to form a tough, flexible rubber gasket with excellent oil resistance.
LOCTITE® SI 598 is a metallic black, 1-part, RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) oxime silicone paste sealant. It cures at room temperature on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible, silicone rubber gasket. Its thixotropic nature allows for easy flow dispensing, while preventing the migration of liquid product once applied to the part. It has excellent resistance to motor oils and can withstand operating temperatures from -54°C to 260°C (-65°F to 500°F).
