The 17XX-CLAMP-ADPT-2V8 is designed to allow the connection of either an AC or DC current clamp to all 17XX products. It consists of a cable with the plug that fits the 17XX products and a female BNC connector which connects to current clamps with mV/A outputs. Compatible with AC or DC clamps (note: 177x products only measure DC), the adapter enables users who may have older clamps to use those devices if they meet the allowable specification of the current input of the measuring instrument.

A range of Fluke devices have been tested with the instrument; this information is included in the product instructions. The information includes the correct current ratio to be set in the instrument along with the maximum output voltage. Users should consult the table before ordering the adapter (and current clamp).
