TY530 Overview

The Yokogawa TY530 is a 3.5‑digit handheld digital multimeter (DMM) designed for professional maintenance applications. It delivers 0.09% DC voltage accuracy, and supports a range of measurement functions. Its True RMS capability ensures accurate readings, and the instrument offers a AC bandwidth up to 20 kHz.

The TY530 features a 6,000‑count main display, a matching sub‑display, and a 31‑segment bar graph, all supported by a white LED backlight for visibility in low‑light environments. It includes functions such as resistance, frequency, temperature, capacitance, continuity check, diode test For AC voltage/current, RMS/MEAN detection can be switched, and a low‑pass filter. The meter also supports user calibration without opening the case, improving convenience and reducing downtime.

Safety and durability are central to the TY530’s design. It meets EN61010‑1 standards and is rated CAT III 1000 V and CAT IV 600 V, offering protection in electrical environments. TY500 Series of DMMs

The TY500 Series features two models. The TY530 differs from the TY520 in two important ways. First, the TY530 includes full data‑management capabilities, such as SAVE memory, logging memory, Min/Max/Average recording, and PC communication, while the TY520 does not offer any of these features. Second, the TY530 can switch between True RMS and mean‑value detection for AC measurements, giving it more flexibility when measuring different waveform types, whereas the TY520 supports only RMS detection.
